We’ve found, reviewed, and tested a nearly indestructible bag that’s great for one bag carry on travel. View the full Pack Hacker review for the GORUCK GR2 and information on how to purchase here: https://packhacker.com/travel-gear/goruck/gr2/
This backpack is perfect to use for one bag travel. If you’re willing to put up with a little more weight, the durability of the GR2 is off the charts. After 1.5 years of everyday use through rain, snow, the desert, and various other climates, the GR2 has lived up to it’s reputation as one of the most “bomb proof” bags on the market today.

Great review 🙂
A small correction is that the other version is 34L (the version I am gonna buy)..
I have the GR1 and it’s my edc bag.. it’s fantastic
good channel, quality content, I hope you grow!
I have one and have done some international & domestic travel with it. Upshot: it’s pretty bombproof! So very rugged. BUT… it’s ridiculously stiff and heavy. I’ll probably go for something lighter, even at the risk of damage. It’s super popular with the tacticool set, but not so sure it’s the right bag for the rest of us.
The goruck gr2 review is an excellent representation of the product. I like the versatility of the bag. Especially the additional ability to adapt to your personal usage platform. Love the idea of adding the hip belt to help with stability. A must addition to the travel purist nation!
Awesome review, answered so many of the questions i had regarding the bag! Just ordered my GR2 (34L) and looking forward to traveling with it as my one bag =) Quick question, I really like your pack hacker velcro patch, any recommendations on where to get a custom patch for my GR2 when it arrives? Thank you!
Never knew this brand existed; the pack looks very useful and thanks for the carry-on bag sizes website. For my travel pack, I’ve been using an Osprey Farpoint 40L for the past year and it’s been great.
So does this fit underneath an airplane seat? I was thinking of getting a GR1 but if I can use this as my personal item, that sounds amazing
How do you like this compared to the Aer Travel Pack?
Very nice! One of the best Goruck reviews, I’d say. Does the tripod add much bulk? And what’s the folded length of it? So, you’ve been to Indonesia?
Good stuff. Thank you for this.
I wouldn’t be so sure about voiding your warranty. Since you didn’t have to cut or stitch or make any sort of permanent addition/subtraction, I highly doubt your bag wouldn’t be covered anymore.
Great review! excited for future videos!
