The companies making aluminum luggage include Rimowa, Tumi, Zero Halliburton and even Arlo Skye. The new Away carry-on luggage at just $475 is a good deal in this space and I look forward to putting it through it’s paces in the sky!

This video is not sponsored, I am unboxing on camera because I love the brand and want to share better menswear with the world. Have a product you would like me to review? Comment below or email

Patrick Chen says:

Will you do an update video after traveling with it?

royman0 says:

I know you usually wait until you have racked up some miles with the bag before doing an in depth review..but curious what your initial reactions are after a few trips?? I just had a handle break on my Samonite and its finally out of warranty so time to buy something new ASAP. Really tempted on the aluminum if it seems to be doing well…let me know!

JonUIUC says:

Pretty neat, still more of a fabric bag man myself esp for carry on size. But I see an appeal for hardcase in check in sizes.

utkjg says:

Where are they made? China?

Kevin Romano says:

What brand is that shirt you are wearing in the video?

jconnway says:

Yo I mentioned it previously but I think it’d be super cool to see the current state of your closet/wardrobe, you must have an absolute ton of clothing by now

David Kuppler says:

Have you had any experience with the new Bigger Carry-On with Pocket from Away? It appears to hit a number of points. Thanks.

Sukhdarshan Singh Sehmbi says:

Not too sure what all these restrictions are about as from 15/1/2018 which you mentioned in your video last month or the month before on the white suitcase shown in this video, very confused still

kelstonify says:

What’s the weight empty?

Emin Subasic says:

Great looking and quality. Maybe only it can get dings and scratches easily since the aluminum is not that resisant. But guess that’s normal wear n’ tear. I’d buy it, great luggage.

Afreen Rahman says:

Hey buddy, I was wondering if you’re planning on doing a review for the everywhere bag from away?

Jonathan Colon says:

Loving the old school SNES

Sukhdarshan Singh Sehmbi says:

So before you travel you have to remove the battery & pass it through the security checks I’m guessing as part of the airport regulations? I know I had to take all my belongings out to check everyone + even had to remove my belt which was stupid just because of the buckle being metal

Jordan Gons says:

The Kavalier, have you tried Pair of Thieves?

Logan Mullins says:

I’m failing to see the necessity of these as time goes on. I’ve flown 10 times in the last 3 months and I’ve never had trouble finding an outlet or whatever. Seems annoying to have so many restrictions on a bag…

Carl Murawski says:

I’ve always loved the look of aluminum luggage, though it seems to be pretty polarizing among most people. It seems to carry an air of importance.

Juan Pablo Bejarano says:

On budget airlines in Europe you were able to take The Bigger Carry On!?

good kitty says:

Hi have you had any problems with away bag in light of carry on plane due to size. I looked up size of bag and the different policies of size for different airlines and the regular size seems to either be just same dimensions or slightly over or under in lent or width or height . Also traveling on 2 seater airplane for over head a problem or going to China or Europe I heard dimension of bag could still be to big? Please let me know

Jack K says:

was this unboxed in the new studio?

George Downtown says:

It looks nice. Another option is Arlo Skye. In champagne color I think it is more stylish than any of the other aluminum bags. PLUS Away has just released yet another bag. This one has a pocket like the Rimowa Bolero.

Bryan Hill says:

Good job on the video. Just ordered because it se of this. Ordered the 3 piece set not aluminum tho. LoL

Sukhdarshan Singh Sehmbi says:

A very informative video again& love the new suitcase a metal design I’ve not seen one anything like this, I’ve seen loads of plastic ones which aren’t very good in quality but this he is breathtaking

Marc Weshler says:

What is the difference between the Away and Arlo Skye? They look identical, except for cost.

Brendan McCullough says:

Forgive me for not knowing this, but is the polycarbonate expandable? Therefore would you technically be able to carry more in with the polycarbonate vs the aluminum? Thanks.

tigergreg8 says:

This luggage is like a work of Art. I know people may scoff at the price, but honestly, even a decently made briefcase can cost this much and more.
Very well packaged too, which goes to show how much detail they are looking at. Nice review.

Denny Chen says:

uh, I’ve seen travel adapters like that for years……. where have you been?

Nuance6 says:

Wow kav has a classic sns I’m shocked

Dean Christensen says:

You forgot to mention the biggest advantage to aluminium bags, if you have extra steaks or beef, you can carry them home.

Nuance6 says:

Kav how much you spend yearly on all these subscriptions?
